Northeast Regional Ambulance Service Earns National Industry Re-Accreditation

MIDDLETON — President Brian Caponigro is pleased to announce that Northeast Regional Ambulance Service earned full re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.

Northeast Regional Ambulance Service is one of only 180 ambulance service providers nationwide to successfully complete the voluntary review process. It earned re-accreditation after a commission team found no deficiencies during an on-site review last month.

The most recent review was Northeast Regional’s second straight time achieving re-accreditation with a perfect score, putting the organization in rare company among ambulance services.

In order to earn accreditation, ambulance services must complete a comprehensive application process before submitting to an on-site review conducted by a team of emergency medical services experts. Northeast Regional Ambulance Service first earned accreditation in 2008.

“I’m grateful for the concerted effort on the part of everyone on our team, which helped us earn this prestigious honor.” Caponigro said. “Remaining an accredited ambulance service reflects our sustained commitment to excellence in patient care, and achieving a perfect score on our last two-accreditation is an extraordinary accomplishment.”

The Commission is a nonprofit organization that was established to encourage and promote quality patient care in America’s medical transportation system. The primary focus of the commission’s standards is high-quality patient care. This is accomplished by establishing national standards, which not only address the delivery of patient care, but also the ambulance service’s total operation and its relationships with other agencies, the general public and the medical community.
